A Kennedy for president viewed as potential spoiler
There are few things the presidential campaigns of Donald Trump and Joe Biden agree on. One is the presidential candidacy of activist-lawyer Robert F. Kennedy, Junior.
I’ve spent some time recently looking into the quixotic campaign of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. One thing I was able to definitively conclude: Neither the candidate nor anyone on his campaign wanted to talk to me. They said I was not reporting for a U.S. domestic audience, thus Voice of America is not relevant for them. Fair enough, but I would have loved to have them explain to our global audience intensely interested in American politics why a candidate running as an independent (after a failed Democratic Party longshot bid), who has no chance of capturing 270 electoral votes, wants to be on the ballot opposing both Trump and Biden.
I reported two stories, nonetheless.

The Biden and Trump campaigns have successfully boxed out Kennedy from the CNN and ABC debate stages. Without those platform can Kennedy maintain his double-digit momentum in some of the swing stages, where he could tip the balance for the total Electoral College vote count? Stay tuned.
